According to NextAvenuea national journalism service that addresses issues relating to America’s aging population—roughly 36 million people in the country provide care and support for an aging relative every day. These family caregivers often experience financial stress and health-related problems of their own as they care for their loved ones.

To address these issues, The Paraprofessional Healthcare Institute (PHI)—which works to transform eldercare and disability services—is launching the #60caregiverissues Campaign. The campaign will aim explore and address the caregiving challenges facing the country head on. Over the next two years, PHI will be sharing new research, insights, and solutions aimed at helping the Trump administration, state policymakers, community leaders, home-care providers and families come together to solve the caregiving challenge. The campaign will also look at how to increase the number of paid caregivers, who will be needed to fill more than 630,000 home-care jobs over the next decade. Click here for more information.
