The Center to Advance Palliative Care (CAPC) is now a member-based organization, providing member institutions with unlimited access to a wide range of tools, training and technical assistance. The goal is to support palliative care delivery and quality by training all frontline clinicians and increasing access to palliative care services in and beyond the hospital.
“We have to respond to the rapid growth in demand for quality palliative care, and this requires that all frontline clinicians have training in palliative care – even if they don’t become specialists,” says CAPC Director Diane E. Meier, MD.

Palliative Care Training
CAPC has developed an interactive online curriculum designed to provide an integrated approach to palliative care skill-building for palliative care specialists and all frontline clinicians. The full roster of courses includes tracks on Pain Management, Communication, Palliative Care in the Community and Operations.
