Communication Skills Pathfinder to Launch in April

The Communication Skills Pathfinder—a training portal geared to all specialists caring for seriously ill patients—will launch this April. The portal will connect clinicians to essential communication skills training and will serve as a gateway to training and tools that reliably improve the quality of communication with seriously ill patients. The Pathfinder was developed through a collaboration between Ariadne Labs; the Center to Advance Palliative Care, and VitalTalk.

“Few areas of healthcare are as important as communication, and the evidence is clear. Communications skills can be taught and retained, and these skills result in measurably better quality of care, reduced readmissions and more,” say the organizations.

On April 19 from 1p to 2pm ET, there will be a free webinar briefing to showcase the capabilities of the Pathfinder. The briefing will include Diane Meier, MD, FACP of CAPC, Erik Fromme, MD, MCR, FAAHPM of Ariadne Labs, and Anthony Back, MD of Vital Talk. The briefing will also feature a Q & A session.
